USES 2017 Annual Report
The mission of United South End Settlements is to harness the power of our diverse community to disrupt the cycle of poverty for children and their families.
On January 1, 2017, USES celebrated its 125th anniversary. We marked this milestone with a history exhibit to honor USES’s past and an intensive strategic planning process to set a vision for USES’s future. Through this process, we identified shared values that guide our work:
Together, we have the capacity to set children up for a bright future. With our values guiding us, USES is creating a network of Change Makers from all walks of life who are invested in creating meaningful relationships that support children and families in reaching their full potential. We believe that as families stabilize and take advantage of opportunities for advancement, their children are better able to develop the 21st century skills needed for educational and workplace success, which will ultimately allow them to break the poverty cycle.
We hope you will ask yourself a critical question: How will I be part of the solution?
Throughout our history, generations have given their time, skills, and resources in partnership with USES to create an inclusive community where all families can thrive. As we move forward in this exciting, innovative work, our friends and supporters will be vital to our success. We’re proud to have you in our corner.
